LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol)
The Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) is an application protocol of network technology. The protocol describes the communication between the so-called LDAP Client and a Directory Server. LDAP can conduct authenticated search requests in a directory (Login via Directory Server).
Document Management and LDAP
bitfarm-Archiv Document Management uses LDAP to transfer and syncronise users and groups from the Active Directory. Password Control can also be processed via LDAP. This allows easy management of the DMS' users, groups and passwords centrally in the Active Directory and makes administration manageable in larger settings.
