Product Data Management (PDM) is a strategy for storing and managing data and documents, that form in product development.

It is often part of a further PLM concept. The use of Document Management Systems like bitfarm-Archiv DMS is a possibility for the practical implementation of such concepts with the help of EDP.

Formerly, a name commonly used for Product Data Management was Engineering Data Management (EDM).
