Pixel Graphics
Pixel graphics or raster graphics are images, made up of individual pixels, that each have a colour assigned to them. A pixel graphic's file size depends on the number of pixels (resolution) and the colours used (colour depth). Additional mathematical data compression (destructive and non-destructive) is often used to further reduce the file size.
Common file formats include JPG - known from digial photography - and the TIFF format often used in Document Management Systems.
