bitfarm-Archiv Support - Current information

Problem with archiving documents after Windows Update dated June 12, 2019

Since today, June,12 2019, we have received an increasing number of messages about bitfarm-Archiv servers that are no longer operating properly. The archiving of documents does not work anymore; they are not written into the queue, but remain in the transfer or import folder. The reason is a Windows update, which installs an update for the Windows Script Host (wscript.exe) and leads to an incompatibility in the script "archivspooler.vbs".

Debugging

For troubleshooting you install a new version of the file "archivspooler.vbs" on the server, which you can download as "Patch-Archivspooler-x.x.x" in the customer area under "Enterprise-Downloads" section (german language only). Alternatively, or in case of further unknown misconduct, the Windows update can be uninstalled until another patch is available.
