The new GPL version helps with the simple implementation of data protection requirements. While the deletion of documents and metadata was always a manual process in previous versions, this is now fully automated with the introduction of "Document Lifecycle Management" (DLM). Deletion deadlines can be defined by the administrator in collaboration with the respective data protection officer for all document categories and exported for reporting purposes with a single click.

No more time-consuming searches in other applications. With HotSearch, you can find the right documents in the DMS in a flash. Whether it's an invoice number in the ERP software or a project number in the communication platform: simply select the desired term and transfer it to HotSearch using a keyboard shortcut. The tool then searches through the entire archive or individual storage locations within the DMS. Hits land directly on your screen. Thanks to configurable hotkeys, you can adapt the search flexibly. And if new resubmissions are due, HotSearch reliably informs you. This means you always have an overview of important documents and save valuable time.
Areas such as the navigation or resubmission list can be freely undocked using drag & drop. This allows the user to arrange the interface as desired and, if necessary, move it to a second monitor. Double-clicking on the undocked area automatically returns it to its original position.
Security at the highest level: With bitfarm-Archiv 3.6, the Windows client and database now communicate via an SSL-encrypted connection. Your data is thus protected against unauthorized access on an additional level. The powerful MySQL 8 database is now also supported. Look forward to future-oriented features such as UTF8MB4 for extended character sets and support for JSON. bitfarm-Archiv makes your DMS fit for the challenges of tomorrow.
Many usability improvements have been made to the graphics tools to make working on documents easier. Among other things, the viewer now remembers the last annotation tool used. It is also possible to copy and paste annotations and their content using a keyboard shortcut.
The administrator area shines with a new interface - integrated directly into the viewer. From now on, you can manage your DMS conveniently in one place and no longer in a separate application. And thanks to clever functions such as cross-archive copying and pasting of objects, rights, fields and statuses, you save a lot of time. You can also use the context menu to jump directly from fields to the archive configuration in no time at all.
